“Those who have a ‘why’ to live, can bear with almost any ‘how’.”

Before designing goals, dreams and desires for 2015, consider reflecting back on 2014. Pay attention to your actions,  your accomplishments and when you felt joy, love, abundance, adventure, peace.

Slow down, soak it up.  Don’t rush into the future before you’ve had a chance to process the past and present.

The following step by step process is what I use for my clients at years end. They write. I ask questions to deepen the learning.  After, we explore what’s next. And why.

1. If you’ve written your goals down, great. Take them out and go through each one. What did you accomplish in 2014? Why was that important to you?

2. What did it require from you to take the actions for your accomplishments? Ex. courage, perseverance, creativity, etc.

3. What memories of the past year stand out for you? Why?

4. What risks did you take?  Or not.

5. How have you grown?

6. How have you changed?

Always pay attention to why you want what you want.  Whether it’s something tangible or intangible, what will drive one towards success is the feeling behind the dream.

Stay with these feelings for awhile.  Savor them. Then, get ready to spend time dreaming about what would make 2015 amazing for you!  Once you know the why, then and only then, we plan!
