Yesterday, we finally let go of mom.  A year after her death, we spread her ashes along the river of the town she loved.  Her ashes drifted behind us, carried by the tide and the wake of the boat, drifting with the currents, ebbing and flowing with the water.

Today, we celebrated young life at a one-year birthday party! We reveled in watching the babies in our family play, innocent and joyful.  I especially felt a sense of pride watching the young parents love up their kids, like we loved them and our parents loved us.

Dear Teresa, I am sure the day was one that was hard for you and it is good to know that your mom lives on in your memories and in your heart. She is always with you, in all she taught you and the faith and morals she instilled in you. Be at peace knowing she is with her loving creator enjoying eternal life
